Who the hell are you?
See the lovely ticker at the top of my page? It represents the amount of weight I need to lose to get to the MIDPOINT of my ideal weight range. Yikes. I'm not shooting for SKINNY, I just want average. Average means losing 42 pounds, and it makes me sick to my stomach thinking about it.
Forty two pounds. When did this happen?
Weight gain is a sneaky little thing, you know. When we bought our Wii Fit two months ago, I had every intention of using it. It keeps track of your weight, your BMI, and will even set up a weight loss plan for you. The first day we brought it home, I got on it, felt my jaw drop to the floor when my weight was displayed on our 50-inch television. I saw my Mii character looking a little plump, and the BMI scale creeped into the "Overweight" column.
Ouch.
But I had a plan. This Wii Fit was going to get my healthy. It was going to help me lose weight. It would be a FUN! EXCITING! way to exercise.
Apparently that means you actually have to turn it on and use it.
Over this weekend, we were home with all four kids, and we decided to play some of the games on the Wii Fit.
I was shocked when I signed on and it told me it had been 57 days since my last workout. And in those 57 days, apparently I put on a whopping SIX POUNDS. Six pounds in 8 weeks.
YUCK.
Times flies when you're getting fat, people.
So, today begins a new journey. I did my 30 minutes of exercise yesterday on the Wii Fit (basic and advanced step aerobics!) and will try to continue this 30 minutes of some sort of exercise at least once a day.
A new journey.
The Journey to Not Being Fat.

Both my Wii Fit and DDR are calling me. I keep ignoring them. Not because I don't WANT to use them, but life just seems to be getting in the way. And as usual I take a back seat to everyone and everything else.
Ooops. Hit the enter button by mistake and I wasn't done!
You keep going and get on that Wii Fit. You can do it!
I have a Wii fit and I seem to use it in cycles. I am looking at getting Jilliam Micheal's new "game" that goes with the FIT. I used the other game and my favorite part is the advanced aerobics but it doesn't have a long enough program. I wish it was longer than the 5 min.
good luck from a Overhaul LURKER
You can do it!
Love the Wii fit, but I have the same problem....does not do a bit of good unless I turn it on. I turned it on the other day and it said it had been 97 days - OMG - I felt awaful. On the up-side, I weighted 20 pounds less than I did 97 days ago, so it made me feel a little better.
Just no enought hours in the day.
